Synthesis of Polyimide with Main Chain Structure

BAPTDS can extend its chain with octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (04) under the catalysis of acid or base or heating to obtain PSX. PSX can be used as a soft segment during use. Copolymerization reaction with other dianhydride or diamines. Polymers with high temperature and mechanical properties can be prepared. Compared with the preparation of dianhydride monomer, the synthesis route of diamine monomer was longer, and the reaction process was more difficult to control.

After synthesizing these directional active monomers. Then undergo acylation reaction with the corresponding dianhydride. The polyimide with di silyl group in the main chain can be prepared. The research results indicate that. Compared with the traditional polyimide, the polyimide with the main chain of which the silica group is introduced has lower tensile strength, glass transition temperature and thermal stability. Some also have high optical transmittance.
